The Price vs. Risk Equation
We are a low risk, high quality service provider. Our goal is to provide the best “value” for your transportation needs. We define “value” as the best overall combination of service, price and risk management. We will rarely be the lowest priced option, this is a choice we make for good reason.
The “lowest price” position typically comes with the highest levels of risk: the probability for cancellations and service failures along with overall carrier safety and insurance issues. The reasons are simple. For a carrier to remain in business as a “lowest priced” provider they must (1) pay their drivers/employees less than standard wages which leads to less qualified, less experienced and less competent personnel with a high rate of employee turnover, (2) run older equipment that is less frequently maintained which leads to equipment breakdowns and/or (3) carry lower cost insurances that may leave a shipper’s cargo unprotected. These issues greatly increase a shipper’s level of risk. This is not a position we choose to place our clients in. In transportation, you truly get what you pay for. We choose to provide fair pricing with a high level of service at low risk levels.
